Do you want to be a Plymouth Labour Council candidate in 2018 or beyond?
The Local Campaign Forum has opened the process for putting yourself forward to be a candidate in the 2018 City Council Elections - click here for details. This is a chance for women to find out about what the process involves, what it's like to be a candidate, and what being a Councillor (when you win!) involves.
To stand in 2018, you have to live, work or own property in Plymouth, and you have to have joined the Labour Party before September 8th 2016. Please do come along even if this isn't you yet - you might be thinking of standing in the future, or just be curious about what a candidate or Councillor does, and what you can expect, and what is expected of you. If you don't feel ready to stand yet, you may want to put yourself forward anyway for a seat we are unlikely to win, to learn the ropes (if we win all 19 seats up for election next year - apologies in advance!)
For full details of the process and an application form, email the Chair of the LCF, Philippa Davey, email@example.com
