Tina Tuohy Labour Candidate for Ham

My name is Tina Tuohy. I have been an active Labour Party member since 1978 and a Ham Ward councillor since 2009. Before this I was a lecturer in archaeology, now retired. I am a GMB member.

I am married with two grown children and two grandchildren. I have lived in Ham Ward, for 38 years. 35 in North Prospect and 3 in Westcountry Close due to Regeneration. Thus I understand the problems involved with local housing issues, Benefit cuts and problems concerning the elderly.

My main interests are community issues and the environment. I am a school governor for Weston Mill Community Primary School, Chair of North Prospect Community Learning group. I support the Friends of Ham Woods and Jubilee Allotments in Weston Mill and as a member of the North Yard Community Trust work to make sure Incinerator S106 money is spent wisely for residents.
