PARLIAMENTARY SELECTION - Plymouth Moor View

The procedure to select the Plymouth Moor View Parliamentary Candidate for the next General Election is now under way. 

APPLICATIONS AND SHORTLISTING

Any member who wishes to be considered as the candidate must apply using the standard form. You can download this at laboursouthwest.org.uk/candidate2017, or by contacting the Procedure Secretary, by 5pm on Friday 3rd November 2017. To do this, you must have joined the Labour Party before 9th October 2016 and have been a member continuously for the last 12 months.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CANDIDATE WILL BE CHOSEN FROM AN ALL WOMEN SHORTLIST.

Plymouth Moor View Labour Party has elected a Selection Committee to run the procedure. The Selection Committee will consider all applications and draw up a longlist of people they wish to interview. Those interviews will take place between Monday 20th November and Friday 1st December. The Selection Committee will interview potential candidates and then draw up a shortlist for local members to consider.

The final decision will be made by local members at a hustings meeting on Saturday December 16th. Postal votes will be available for members who are unable to attend. The exact time and venue for that meeting will be confirmed in due course.

All Plymouth Moor View CLP members have been sent a letter giving full details.
