2nd Public Meeting of the Save Peverell Library Campaign
Peverell Library is one of 10 libraries across Plymouth threatened with closure by the Conservative/Ukip council 'Plan for Libraries'
At the first public meeting of the 'Save Peverell Library Campaign' held on the 22nd of Februrary a mass read-in and book borrowing was planned, designed to allow the local community to show its support for their library. This was a huge success, with 228 people packing the library to show that they want their beloved local library to remain open, with reporting of the event on BBC news and the Herald.
On Wednesday 15th March we will hold a second public meeting at 8pm in Hope Baptist Church. In this meeting we aim to build upon the success of the last meeting and plan the next steps of the campaign to ensure that Peverell library continues to provide the many services that local residents hold dear.
All are welcome to this meeting, which is open to all supporters of the library. So please bring your ideas and enthusiasm so we can continue to show what our community thinks about this threat to our library.
